King, the hypnotist

(Seeking Subscriptions, Reviews and recommendations)

Shortly after King arrived in London, he was diagnosed with clinical depression which was constantly accompanied by worrisome traces of mania. To correct his mood, ECG and hypnosis were introduced. His parents back then, were severely against ECG due to the adverse side effects. Hypnosis on the other hand seemed far-fetched, but it was harmless.

Therefore, they hired a well-known hypnotist. Unfortunately, that was the first of many. Each hypnotist was unable to work with King because he was always rejecting their suggestions. For hypnosis to work, the patient must be willing to be vulnerable, and the suggestions employed must be things they are willing to do.

King refused to open up about his feelings and thoughts, therefore, making all the doctors work without specific directions, which led to them suggesting actions and thoughts get patterns he couldn't agree with.
