Chapter 58

"I am glad you are giving me some sanity, granny mito," Naruto says, playing chess with her. He's sitting on the wheelchair outside in the gardens of his parents home, Mito sitting on the opposite side of him on her chair and round table in between. He wasn't a fan of chess, the only reason he's playing is because he's bored.

It's been 4 months, Naruto got discharged a week ago and came to live in his parents home. He's getting used to this routine. Never once has he had someone to take care of him, It feels very odd.

"How do you feel, Naruto?"

"A little uncomfortable... everyone is treating me like I am not a fragile glass"

"Can you blame them? Do you have any ideas? In what state you were in?"

Naruto nods, staring at the chessboard. "I know I know... I don't regret my decision though"

"Has Kurama visited yet?"

"Oh he did. He later had to return back to Hell" Naruto felt guilty for not telling him the plan he had. He knew Kurama would have stopped him. Still, he had apologised to Kitsune demon who was pretty much angry by the looks of it, Kurama still scolded him and accepted his apology. Seems like, Naruto's state wasn't good looking as he had noted everyone's reaction whenever they took a look at him.

"Hey, Granny Mito, Do I look worse??" Naruto looks at her with curiosity. He had asked a mirror to take a look at himself but everyone told him not to. Sure, he doesn't look that bad?

Mito chuckle. "Oh? Worried about your appearance?"

"A little? I am just curious...Trunks burst out into tears like I was dying when I wasn't. And he avoided looking at me... I mean my right side is kinda burnt here. I know that and I'm a little blinded but still I can see..."

"You aren't looking so bad... The burn is healing well. As long as you don't touch that side of your face"

"Ah, you too, Granny Mito..."

Mito chuckles at his adorable pouty face. "Don't worry, do you want to eat something? It is almost lunch time"

Naruto blinks realization, He lost the game again! He sighs. "Yes, Anything is fine. Damn it, One day I will definitely defeat you in this game, Granny"

Mito laughs, standing up. "In your dreams, Boyo" with that said, she left to get something for Naruto.

They were living in Toki Toki city on a floating island filled with ninja's, Naruto knew everyone would settle in nicely, Hashirama and Yamato used their wood styles to create as much housing as possible for everyone while Chronoa gave out the house capsule for everyone to live in them.

Naruto glances at his arm. It will take some time to make a replacement although Tusnade says it's better if Naruto just waits and lets his regeneration do the work. But he's bored.

"How nice"

Naruto is startled by the sudden cheerful voice, He looks up to find none other than Fu. "Huh?! Fu?"

Fu grins as he's sitting in a crossed leg position in mid air staring down at Naruto with Goofy smile. "How are you? Need an arm?"

"And let you have my DNA?" Naruto shook his head slowly. "I don't think so" Then he scowls. "Where have you been to begin with, by the way?"

"Here and there I have been doing most of my research. I heard how you took care of that angel, Naruto! That was an amazing feast!" Fu chuckles landing down on the ground on his feet and takes the seat where Mito was sitting then he looks at the chess board. "I didn't know you were a fan of chess?"

Naruto shrugs. "Bored. So, what's up?"

"Nothing much, I was planning to begin my experiment however I cannot do it with you being sick and other people settling in" Fu pouts. "And well, it's not fun when you aren't around"

Naruto titled his head. "I suppose you are aware of my condition... That means you wouldn't be able...to get the sample you wanted from me, huh?"

Fu shrugs. "I am sure I can wait. Besides, I can time travel, have you forgotten?"

Naruto groans. "Please if you were to do these experiments make sure that you don't involve me or worse make it to the point no one would be able to clean the mess"

"Aww, come on, I thought you liked my plans!"

"Fighting I loved, yes but I am injured to the point I can't even fight, If you haven't noticed my wheelchair" He points at his wheelchair. "I am basically stuck until I am healed... It might take hundreds of years"

Fu waves his hand. "Don't worry! Don't worry! I won't make any mischief until you are feeling better"

"You better," Naruto mutters.

Fu gets up suddenly. "I should get going, see you later... Old man" He snickers and disappears.

Naruto's eyes twitch. "That little..."

"Was someone here?" Mito asked, returning back with the tray of food. "I sensed a presence..."

"It was a friend of mine, He is kinda shy. Here to visit me and left just now" Naruto wonders why Fu left in a hurry, He didn't want to be seen by Mito for some reason? Whatever, He has nothing to do with his ridiculous schemes.

A few days later, Naruto was watching Kushina hanging clothes outside in the garden as he watched her. He senses a familiar presence. "Oh, I didn't know you would be coming back" Naruto says, not breaking his gaze from his mother's figure.

"I feel like I was rude. Then again, I should have answered your question" The figure beside him says. "I didn't shed the tears, however I did mourn"

Naruto smiled bitterly. "You can just be genuine about your feelings, you know? It's not that bad...to show your weakness or even admit..."

Daishinkan stares at Naruto who hasn't once looked his way. "You are right, Perhaps I should. Then again, it isn't your business"

Naruto couldn't help but smirk and said "Yeah, like how you involved yourself into my dealings even now when I got hurt. Don't think I didn't sense your energy inside me. I know you healed me... As much as Tsunade and Sakura are miracle workers... I know it was you. Whis wouldn't have been there when I was brought as he was sent back to his timeline to continue his duty. Merus, of course, would have helped me but he didn't know what exactly was going on with me unlike you"

Daishinkan lips twitch. "You are right... How are you feeling?" He glanced at Kushina who noticed his presence and continued with her work while glancing at them. "You didn't try to unlock your chakra, did you?"

"No, I know what would happen if I were to unlock it. I am in no hurry to heal myself. If anything, I just enjoy this... A vacation of some sort..."

"Only, you would. Do you feel better?"

"Ah yes, I do. Thanks for fixing my little problem. Kurama did mention the reason why he had to block himself from me. Other than that, Thanks for helping everyone settle in"

"I did nothing as you believe... Nonetheless, I am glad. I should be heading back... Grand Zeno would be waiting for the report"

Naruto chuckled. "Ah, Let him know, I am sorry I cannot visit him"

Daishinkan stands in front of Naruto, He touches the side of the burnt gently.

Naruto felt something warm entering his chakra system, about a minute, he gasp softly as he can now see clearly. "Oh, thanks" He healed him.

Daishinkan's hand stayed on his cheek for a moment before he pulled back and smiled. "A little birthday gift... I wish I could have done furthermore but you know you have to heal on your own"

"I heard that way too many times and yet you healed me. I know damn well you can heal me, you just want me to spend more time with everyone.... Thank you, Sensei"

"You're welcome, Uzumaki Naruto"

Smiling at the blonde, He walks to the side while saying "Good day, Mrs. Namikaze." With that, Daishinkan disappeared.

Kushina joins the Naruto side as she hangs the clothes to let them dry and blink at the spot where he disappeared. "Huh! He is nothing like Whis... Although he is good looking"

Naruto laughs. "Don't let Dad hear you! He might get jealous"

Kushina snorted. "Nah, I am sure he will also pin after your teacher"

Now, he didn't expect this and found himself choking on his own breath while Kushina laughed hard.
