THE TWIST

I asked him the very same quiz,

And both of us didn't press the buzz.

So, by any means he had to express,

And get a chance to end his distress.

He barely knew her name,

He never had her number to call.

Now that may sound a bit lame,

But most of the one-sided shall relate.

So, the only place to overture,

Will be the tuition, a set-up by nature.

In school he prepared himself,

With all of us besides him,

With our words to fuel his whim,

He rehearsed the lines, a lot of times.

He thought to propose her, 

On the following weekend.

This time, he was a brave explorer,

And he had no fear about the dead-end.

He had it all set to be staged,

He couldn't have a good sleep,

Until he passed his own test,

He kept on thinking about the day.

His previous plan may have failed,

But this one won't go off railed,

Because, now he's more than a lover,

He is sort of an adventurer.

Promptly, something abrupt happened,

Within few hours, things got worst,

A deadly disease, the humanity's threatened,

The whole world seemed to be cursed.

Soon it became a global pandemic,

Soon we were all under lockdown.

We lost ourselves due to the epidemic,

We were on the verge of a breakdown.
