"Hey…" A voice said.
"Hey….." the voice continued.
"Just let her rest, she'll wake up!"
"But she's been asleep for 9 days now, don't you think it's time to wake her up?"
The voices continued to murmur. I think they were in my mind though.. Was it my consciousness trying to wake me up? But every second, a voice kept telling me to wake up. But I couldn't. I couldn't feel my own body. I could only see pitch darkness. But.. would I let that knock me down? Of course not.. so I continued to fight back. I continued and kept fighting back, until. A glimpse of the darkness had revealed itself. It was blurry, but I was able to see a pale red and brown roof. Probably made out of wood. Or was it wood?
"She's waking up!" the voice shouted without thought.
The glimpse had increased, before it fully revealed itself. Once I turned my head, I could immediately feel the warm and comfy blanket that was wrapped around me like paper. I could clearly see my own body, but could I control it?
"Easy now, little girl." Another voice came in, but it was an older woman's voice. I bet the older woman clearly knew what I was going through.
I slowly sat up, but I felt a hand on my back help me so I wouldn't struggle. It felt tingly at first, I kind of wanted it off. But too late, I guess. I don't think I had the strength to push the hand off. But once I sat up, my blurred vision went clear and I could see my surroundings full of wood and aesthetic furniture with bright pale colors. But I could also see 4 figures near me. A boy, leaning on the wall. He was clearly not paying attention to anything. A young girl, about the age of 10. I could see her relieved face. Another male, but he was standing next to the young girl. And a woman. She was in her 20's, but she looks like she could be working in a very highly educated technology job. Wait, since when did I know that?
"Wow, she looks pretty with her blue colored eyes."
"But she has no pupils… is she even normal?" The young girl questioned.
"We won't know until we get answers from her." The woman replied. Pointing her finger straight at me.
I blinked.
What were they talking about?
Soon, the woman stepped forward, approaching me. But I had no expression to show, or maybe I did. I just hid it well. Even if my entire mind felt empty, I had a big feeling something was happening inside. But is it normal? Is it normal to feel that way? I don't know. I didn't understand anything after all.
She stepped closer, and closer. Until, we were facing each other. It felt impossible to try and look away. Especially knowing that her face was bright as the sun. But her expressions had never shown a sign of anger.
"Hello there. I know you must be confused about where and who you are. You don't need to be afraid. All you have to do is answer some very tranquil questions." The woman started. Her calm voice made my shoulders relaxed. She was definitely someone I could trust.
I replied with a nod. It was the only thing I could think of.
"I'll start off with a warm up." The woman acknowledged as she grabbed a small stool and sat down in front of me. She was ready to hear anything from my mouth.
"My name is Dr. Yen. My full name is Li Yen. I am a doctor who specializes in the unordinary. But somehow, I found you laying in my backyard. Although, you weren't harmed or anything. So it seems like you survived the fall." Dr. Yen continued.
The room got quiet, it seemed like Dr. Yen was trying to hear my answer or reply. But.. here goes nothing.
"My… my name is.."
To be honest, I don't actually have a name. But I have to think of one, right? I quickly looked around the room, but I continuously looked back at Dr. Yen so she wouldn't be suspicious about anything. As I continued to look around the room, something had quickly caught my eye. But I only got a clear glimpse of it. Seven.
"My name is.. Seven." I continued my reply. Although, I tried hard not to stutter or pressure myself.
Dr. Yen's expression had changed to a surprised look as if she saw fat pigs flying. Although, she accepted my identity without question. I bet she played along with it. If she's a doctor for the unordinary people, she may just know who I am. But, the question is…
Who am I?
"I don't think it's a great time to question the sleeper yet." the boy, who was leaning on the wall, had spoken.
"And why is that?"
"Shouldn't it be obvious for a doctor like you?"
"Nope."
"You're joking. You're only saying that so I can explain."
"You don't have any proof! But continue."
"Anyways… It takes time for someone to recover memories. Maybe if we show her what life is like now, maybe she'll answer the questions we all have for her later on."
"And how do you plan on doing that, Raijin?" Dr. Yen asked.
Silence had poured into the room. But by looking at Raijin's face, he clearly knew how to answer Dr. Yen's question without hesitation. He just kept quiet as if he was normally trying to think it out as an "Average Human". It was pretty obvious for me, but for everyone else, they couldn't see a thing. I could see through him like a wet paper towel.
But without knowing, the little girl had already approached me. I turned my head to the left, only to be facing face to face with the little girl. Her relieved face was wiped away with an adorable and wholesome smile.
"Hi there, Seven! I'm Yuka! Let me show you what Dr. Yen's place looks like!" Yuka shouted. Pulling me straight out of bed without hesitation. As soon as her hand grabbed my wrist, I could immediately feel the aura sparkling bright within her. Her happiness was as fast as lightning, including her energy.
But it seemed to change as I looked up. I seemed to see a bright blue hologram, but no one else could see it. With just a long glance at the hologram, I realized it was identifying Yuka's statistics.
Name: Yuka
Age: 9-10 years old.
Sex: Female
Intelligence: Slightly Above Average
Status: Unknown.
Origin: Unordinary.
Ability: Spiritual.
I tilted my head in confusion. Spiritual?
I didn't get time to look at the statistics again due to being dragged by Yuka, but once I looked back at her, we were already outside. I could smell the scent of ocean rain, it must've rained last night or so. But the view I saw was something people would always dream about.
Outside of Dr. Yen's house, in her front yard, she had a large lake right in front of her home. It was bigger than 10 elephants. The water was as clear as glass that you could see the Ki Utsuri and Tancho colored Koi fish and the Violet Fusion Arowana swimming around the chilly waters. But behind the lake, I could see the different colors and shades of green tall hills. Maybe mountains. But the flowers that were planted there were very visible. Although, when looking to my left. I could see a city that wasn't so far from Dr. Yen's place. I couldn't help but give credit to Dr. Yen for choosing such a beautiful place to live in.
I did notice that Yuka had finally let go of my wrist, allowing me to take control. My first thought was to see the lake. After all, the lake had easily caught my attention and curiosity. So I walked towards the edge of the lake. Every step I took, I could hear the sound of dirt. The calmness has become a part of the winds. But I soon looked at the reflection of myself through the crystal clear water. I realized my own appearance.
The white hair, the indicolite blue eyes, the pale bright skin… is that me?
The white hair, the indicolite blue eyes, the pale bright skin. It sounds familiar. But where have I heard it from?
I suddenly snapped out of my zone as I saw Yuka's reflection in the water.
"Are you looking at your reflection, Seven?" She asked.
"Uhm, yeah. I am."
"I see! I also love staring at myself in the water. It seems like there's another me who can always mimic my moves like a mirror!" She shouted in excitement.
It was obvious that Yuka was young. Even if I just woke up, I seem to feel like I have the knowledge of an average human being. But I don't blame Yuka for her creative mind. It was very impressive, something I probably couldn't do. But as a child like Yuka, I can't help but smile because of her happiness.
But, this is what happiness feels like, right?
Time had quickly passed as the full bright moon had slowly traveled the dark night sky that was full of stars. Dr. Yen had allowed us to stay outside to see the stars. She was making… food called dinner. Although, I'm not sure on what food she was making. I've seen Dr. Yen walk outside to pick up some ingredients in her greenhouse before coming back inside. I have mostly seen her doing the work by herself. I can't help but feel guilty about it. But I guess it was too late now.
I was interrupted by my thoughts as Yuka pulled my arm. I didn't even realize she was there.
"Seven! Look, look! There's a star traveling the sky!" Yuka pointed.
I looked up to the sky where she pointed. She at least knew where and what she was pointing at. I saw a small star, traveling the sky like lightning. It was very, very interesting. It looked like the star was running around so it could see every place they wanted to be. But if only the stars aligned, maybe we could see the entire world.
I continued to look at the stars before…
CRASH!!!
I look to my left, only to see the city that was once pretty and well built, collapsing. The more I observed it from afar, I realized a meteorite had crashed down on the city.
I looked back up and saw three more meteorites heading towards the city. It was going faster than the speed of a tornado. But without thinking, I made Yuka let go of my arm before I ran off, into the woods.
"Seven!" Yuka shouted, but her echo had faded away as I kept going. There was no way I could hear her anymore.
I continued running, it even looked like the trees were people and I was dashing through the crowd. I didn't catch my breath, I just kept going. Kept running, My legs ignored the pain that was slowly increasing by every step I took. I tried keeping up with myself, but it was interrupted when I suddenly flew up a little. Once I looked down, I realized I had tripped on a rock. But it was too late to dodge it now. So there I went, rolling.
I closed my eyes as I violently continued to roll down the hill. But soon… I was stopped. I could feel the air becoming colder to the point that it made me shiver. I no longer felt the fear I was feeling as I slowly opened my eyes. My vision was clear, not blurred. I could see the sky and dark clouds, but something was different. I didn't feel the ground. But due to my curiosity, I looked down. And there I was, floating high up into the sky. I swinged my legs a little before fully swinging them. I realized that I had nothing to fear.
I looked back at the meteorites. They were still aiming towards the city, so I had no time to play. I soon landed 10 meters away from my original spot before leaping back up with extremely high winds breaking a part of the ground. But before I knew it, I landed right in front of the city. There was no time to waste.
So I ran in, running past the fires. I quickly looked around as I could see that the entire city was panicking, knowing that they'll die. But I won't let that happen. I looked back at the meteorites before jumping high up towards them. I didn't think, I should've though. There was no way I could destroy three meteorites at the same time. But I still continued. I must be dumb, right?
"SEVEN!"
I heard a voice, but that was the only thing I've heard… before my vision went dark. I could no longer feel the air connecting with me, or my feet floating along with the sky, or even my heart beating. Just pitch darkness…
What's happening to me?
. . .
"SEVEN!"
I screamed, waiting for her response. But it seems like I failed to. Or did I?
I ran towards the city, but I used my cape to protect myself from the smoke and fire that was spreading around the city. My eyes had stayed on Seven in case she had disappeared or done something idiotic.
What makes her have a good idea she'll use her own hand to try and kill those meteorites!?
I looked closely with my sight, but I let my body try to approach her as closely and quickly as possible. But soon, I saw Seven. Her indicolite blue colored eyes had changed to pure white. But it was brighter than the moon's moonlight that shined down on us. But soon, my body stopped moving. Not from fatigue, but by the aura Seven had given off.
What is this aura!?
I kept looking at Seven. Well. I had no choice anyways, my body felt paralyzed! But without any choice left, I had to watch. But I never noticed… all three meteorites had disappeared. No. shattered into pieces. Except that, my body no longer seemed paralyzed. I took the chance to look around and try to look for Seven, only to find her standing on top of a building with her bright silver colored eyes.
The silver colored eyes had faded away as her indicolite blue eyes had returned. She must've snapped out of it. But… who is she?
. . .
I seem to have woken up. But, something feels different. I looked around my surroundings. Some of the buildings were still on fire, but some of the flames were being extinguished. Although, I looked back up at the sky. Remembering the meteorites. But… they were no longer there.
What just happened?
I continued to look around, only to hear a crowd shouting, but in happiness. So I looked down at the city, only to realize the people there were cheering for me. But what did I do?
I turned around after hearing a footstep landing behind me. I turned to see Raijin. One of Dr. Yen's students as well. His expressions were blank, but I could somehow slightly feel the expression of relief in his face. We stared at each other, keeping silent. He kept his frown, but not knowing how to reply to him, I did the same. But it soon broke out.
"Are you alright." He asked, with a calm but deep voice. I could still remember it from Dr. Yen's place.
I nodded as my reply. There was nothing else to respond with when I wasn't harmed. But I'm still confused on why the meteorites are gone, why are people cheering me up, and why is he asking me? What did I do?
Raijin seemed to notice my confusion, but he didn't seem to care about it.
"Get some rest." He finally spoke, before disappearing like dust.
I never knew who could do that. But oh well. I leaped up back into the sky, heading back to Dr. Yen's house.
As I was floating into the air, I could feel the breeze gently pushing my hair and my clothes back. It even made my body shiver a little. I looked at the bright full moon. Being higher than the mountains was a great view to see the stars and the moon. But as I stared into the moon, my vision seemed to glitch. Revealing a red sky and a bright light red moon before it glitches again and I could see the pretty blue sky.
What the?
I landed, only being a few blocks away from Dr. Yen's place. But my own vision had suddenly stopped my thoughts as I slowly lost my thought of heading back. As they disappeared like dust in a tornado, they were replaced by confusion. I looked up at the sky, one last time.
You're almost there.
I blinked. Wondering who's voice it was. After all, I didn't recognize that voice. The voice had sounded like it came behind me, so I looked behind. But, nothing was there. The entire forest, was just me. Except for the quiet winds passing by and the sound of crickets chirping as quiet as a mouse. But, I looked at the sky, once again. The sky, was red. The same sky I once saw with my own vision. I look behind in fear. Only to see… the entire forest. Gone. every corpse was laying on the ground, but everything had changed, even the setting. Everything looked like hell.
Boundless.
I blinked once again. The voice… Was it in my head? What's happening? The vision seems to be gone. But my heart continued to pound continuously. Not knowing what was going on, my thoughts came back and I immediately ran off back to Dr. Yen's place. I didn't bother leaping back up with the wind, I just wanted an explanation of everything.
