Chapter 83

Inside the Fortress of Solitude, Leonardo was rubbing his forehead as his glasses sat on an ice pillar nearby. His inhumane blue eyes were fully displayed as he sat in the fortress as a storm rampaged outside. As if nature were trying it best to bury the crystal fortress.

"Is something troubling you, my son?" Jor-El asked.

"Kal-El informed me that a man claiming to be a Kryptonian is now on Earth and wants his help with something. He has displayed the powers of a Kryptonian, but I seriously doubt he is. For I discovered that someone called in a Black Ship, but by the time the sheriff arrived it was gone and Lex men were seen in the area prior." Leonardo answered.

"Do you believe it to be the Brain Interactive Construct?" Jor-El asked.

"That is what I am afraid of. It will be hard to defeat him or even find him. Unless he shows himself it will be near impossible to track. He can easily cover his tracks or even change his form he takes." Leonardo said.

"What is Kal-El's plan?" Jor-El asked.

"He is overjoyed at the idea of another Kryptonian to be alive. Due to the pain and drama he half created for himself or feels he created, he simply took the idea at face value." Leonardo replied.

"In time he will learn to be more cautious." Jor-El responded.

"I just don't want him to have such painful lessons." Leonardo replied. "Nor put the people on this planet at risk for something far beyond what they can handle themselves. Krypton things and problems should stay out of the Earth's hands."

"Then you need to find and defeat the Brain Interactive Construct." Jor-El advised.

Leonardo felt speechless at Jor-El words since that was what he was planning. However, how is he supposed to track down the computer? Not to mention how is he supposed to beat it without it just uploading itself to the internet then recreating its body later.

"You wouldn't happen to have a virus so I can crash it and stop it from repairing itself or uploading itself to the internet?" Leonardo asked.

"I do not, but I do have a direction you can search. I am unsure if he still lives on this planet, but the scientist who created the Brain Interactive Construct should still live. Over a century ago, he decided to come to Earth to study Krypton minerals under the Yellow Sun." Jor-El explained. "Even without the powers of the yellow sun, he should still be living if he is still on this planet."

Leonardo remembered such a thing happening in the show. Later after Clark visited the scientist in question about Kryptonite that could defeat Bizzaro or Clark's clone. A damaged Brainiac who couldn't find a way to repair himself appeared and used the scientist's knowledge to learn how to repair himself.

"What is this scientist's name and how should I find him?" Leonardo asked.

There is afterall no guarantee that it would be the same scientist nor would his shield be in the same spot. Truth be told, if Jor-El hadn't mentioned it, Leonardo probably wouldn't have thought of this. It's sort of like when you know the answer but tend to gloss over it.

"His name is Dax-Ur. I have no clue where his shield is, however, I should be able to trigger it if I use the frequencies known to that family." Jor-El replied. "Shall I attempt it, my son."

"Maybe in a while. I am going to rest for a bit." Leonardo headed off to a bed he has in the Fortress.

--

A few hours later, Leonardo stood in the Fortress as he let out a yawn. He felt better rested then he has for the last few months. However, despite it only being a few hours, Leonardo sighed at how busy his life is. Since it was time to go track down this Krypton Scientist and begin making the virus to shut down the Brain Interactive Construct.

"Alright, let's do this and hopefully I can bring down this possible computer before he can bring whatever plan it has to fruition." Leonardo said.

"Good Luck, my son. In time I hope Kal-El will be up to the task to help you." Jor-El said as a bit of warmth could be heard in the mechanical voice.

Then he heard a high pitch sound and shot off into the sky. Leonardo in a matter of moments landed in Smallville just outside of a gas station. Punching down into the concert, he pulled out a rusted box where only a few things were inside and a silver pendant.

"So it really was here." Leonardo mumbled to himself.

Then he laid the shield in his palm and said the name. The small shield gently floated in his hand before it took off in which Leonardo shot after it to follow. Where it shot across various places before finally coming to a small garage in the middle of nowhere.

Looking around and besides seeing basically desert, there isn't really much besides this garage around. However, he didn't care much since if this is where the shield brought him, then the man he is looking for is in front of him. So he walked into the garage where he saw a middle aged man who was bald on top. However, what grabbed his attention was the large blue stone he wore on his wrist.

"Can I help you?" The man asked.

"I am looking for someone." Leonardo said as he looked around the small shop.

"If they live around here, I probably know them." The man smiled.

"His name is Dax-Ur. He used to be a scientist." Leonardo just glanced at the man.

"Dexter? No, no one around here with that name." The man looked nervous.

Leonardo just looked at the man unimpressed. His ability to lie is terrible that even a three year old could easily tell. Not to mention giving such a big reaction to his own name is a dead give away.

"You might as well print it on your forehead with such a reaction." Leonardo said as he tossed the shield. "Whatever, I only came to get information from you. Your computer project is on Earth with some goal and it probably is not a good one. So I need to know how to shut it down without it splitting itself."

"Which house are you from?" Dax-Ur sighed as he put the shield away.

"My brother and I are from the House of El." Leonardo replied.

"House of El's were always survivors." Dax-Ur said with a small smile.

Leonardo continued his look around the garage where he spotted a picture behind the counter. There he saw Dax with a woman and an infant. So picking it up, he looked at the photo and noticed the photo wasn't that old, maybe a few years.

"It seems that Clark will be happy." Leonardo said. "To finally be able to confirm he can have children. The question now is, does he inherit our abilities?"

"He hasn't shown any." Dax-Ur replied. "The few samples we have from the times Kryptonians visited this planet throughout the ages. It was always a low percentage of them inheriting."

"That is what the database says as well." Leonardo nodded. "Now let's get down to business, so I can leave and you can continue your life without Krypton knocking at your door."

"Ok, what do you want to know?" Dax-Ur nodded.

After giving a brief overview of the situation, Dax-Ur finally gave in and began handing over all the knowledge. In which Leonardo records everything and could begin working on the virus to shut down the rogue computer.

"Thank you for your help." Leonardo said then bolted away in the sky.

Dax-Ur just looked into the sky seeing that Leonardo rushed away. Then he shook his head at this before walking back into his shop.

"I wish you luck young man. Just I hope you won't try to carry the weight of the world on your shoulders for too long." Dax-Ur sighs to himself.

--

Arriving at the Fortress, Leonardo went to work on creating the needed virus. Since he rather not count on Clark to handle this computer nor want its plans to be completed. For he was unsure if its goals were to unleash General Zod from the Phantom Zone or not.
