Chapter 8

After we have passed through the hole from the barrier, what I saw next shocked me.

I saw something inhuman.

I saw four merman swimming towards us with a staff that has red light like energy around it.

There were half man half fish, something I always see in movies, never believe I will encounter it one day.

Those merman were handsome with there long black hair, especially the one in the middle.

If this people is to come on earth, many girls will be dying to have them as their boyfriend.

"The won't eat you" Ziza signal me to calm down, figure out that I might run away at any time.

"Welcome lord Ziza, our majesty has been expecting your arrival, please follow me " One of the merman who approached us, surprisingly greeted Ziza and turned to lead the way towards their majesty.

While the other three merman guarded our back.

What I imagined didn't come true.

I was expecting them to be hostel and aggressive towards us, like the way acted in movies, like;, I don't like humans, stuffs like that.

"I know what you are thinking, this is not my first time coming here, they are used to it." Ziza said to me after we started following him.

I nodded, although the were to many questions I wanted to ask but couldn't ask.

"You wanna know about the barrier back their?" ziza asked.

"Yeah" my eyes light up, interested in knowing about it.

"That barrier is a very powerful one that prevent evil being to invade their kingdom."

"What evil being?" I asked.

"The Hunters, the mermaid call them the evil beings because they hunt them" 

"Why will this so called hunter, Hunt them?"

"Many years ago, mermaids was a peaceful and powerful creatures that helped the human during the invasion of the evil god.

But not until a dangerous being that called himself God Hunter, began to hunt the mermaids with so many different weapon and weakness of the mermaid.

He attacked so many kingdoms, killed and hold hostages.

That's when goddess ocean herself got involved and stopped the God Hunter from his evil doings.

She created the barrier to protect the mermaid kingdom from the hunters.

"Wow what a long story" I commented.

"Yeah and you have to be careful,the hunters doesn't not only hunt the mermaids only, the also hunt the vampires and werebeings .

if possible gods too."

I wanted to ask him about the werebeings, when something else caught my attention.

I saw a group beautiful fishes passed by, they have so many colors like rainbow.

Not only that, I saw a mermaid riding a seahorse. it was carrying a big fancy shell.

Just like a carriage but has no tires.

wow! the mermaid kingdom really has something unimaginable.

I thought as I looked at a big golden gate in front of us.

it was closed.

The merman that has been leading us stopped.

"You can enter! the queen awaits your arrival." The merman said directing us to the gate.

Ziza nodded and swim towards the gate.

Surprisingly the gate began to automatically and slowly opened by itself.

 CAFETERIA 

Victor carried his food and walked towards an empty table.

he settled down on the chair, just when he is about to fist on his food, someone approached him.

It was Sarah.

"Hi can I join you?" she requested.

"Yeah of course you can" victor quickly replied.

"Thanks" she smiled and sat down facing him.

The both ate in silent. Victor was thinking hard on how to start a conversation with her.

"How was today teaching like" she finally broke the silence.

"Thank God you asked! it was really boring, like Mr donie potbelly make more meaning than his teaching."

"Haha really?" she laughed.

OMG her laugh is really sweet. victor wondered.

"Yeah I really can't hold it anymore, I was really suffocating"

"Haha you are really funny." 

"Thanks, what about y.." Victor couldn't finish his word when three boys approached their table.

"Hi babe you seems to be new, can you join us on our table." One of the boys stared at Sarah with lustful eyes.

"No thanks am fine here" Sarah replied.

"Come on babe, we will give anything you want" 

"I said am fine staying here." 

"We...."

"Didn't you hear what she said, she said she is fine staying here" Victor interrupted.

The three boys looked at victor with anger in their eyes.

Suddenly one of them used their hand to smash the table victor and Sarah was using.

The scene attracted everybodys attention that is in the cafeteria.

"Is because we are being soft here, come with me or else" one of the boys tried to grab Sarah.

Victor was fast to stop him by holding his hand.

"Or else what?" Victor looked at him without a hint of fear.

"I see you are the brave one" the boy chuckled softly and tried to remove his hand that was held by victor but couldn't.

He used all his strength trying to withdraw his hand but failed, victor was still holding him freely.

It was embarrassing and awkward for him as his friends was wondering what is going on.

"Or else what?" victor asked for the second time.

"Let go of my hand now, or you will pay!"

"Oh really! how?" Victor smirked still holding his hand.

The boy finally use the other free hand to punch towards victor face.

But victor caught it easily using the other hand.

Victor used his leg and kick him on stomach, making to fall on the ground rolling.

Everyone on the cafeteria gasped as the watch a fight which was about to unfold.

The other two saw what happened and began to get angry.

Suddenly one of the two boys brought out a knife and attack victor.

"Victor! watch out!" Sarah called out.

Victor seeing the guy with knife coming, smirked instead.

The guy attacked victor with the small knife, he dodged it easily and grab his hand, hitting of the knife on his hand and give him a blow on his chest.

He falled and began to cough out blood.

The last guy saw what happened to his friends angrily rushed towards victor and attacked him by swinging his fist at him.

Victor easily dodged his fist and give him an upper cut which made the guy to stagger back.

Victor added another blow towards his stomach.

Nobody noticed but there was blue like light that reflected on victor fist when he punched the guy on his stomach.

He was sent flying and he his back in a table filled with food.

All the food poured on his body as he landed on the table.

Clap!! Clap!!

Everybody in cafeteria began to clap for Victor after defeating the bullies that always force girls to do what the don't like.

"Thanks" Sarah thanked victor.

"You don't have to be, they deserve it." victor replied pushing his sleeve up.

That was when Sarah noticed a mark on the back of his arm.

Sarah looked at her own palm, suddenly a tiny red mark began to draw on her palm.

"It's this same, I found him"
