Chapter 45: Trophy

"Good morning, Mouse. You look much better." Vlad marched into the space, his presence filling up every corner.

Gavin luckily hid the pin I gave him just in time, so Vlad didn't see it.

Considering Vlad's words, it must be morning already.

I didn't greet him back, and just glared at the big burly man with the eyepatch. He wore a gray suit today, with fine white strips running from top to bottom.

"I hope you're finished with her Gavin. It's time for her morning stroll." Vlad sneered at me.

Gavin exchanged a fleeting look with me, before nodding. "Yes, Sir. She's good to go. But I advise that she doesn't put too much physical strain on her body and rest at regular intervals."

"You make her sound like she's made of porcelain. She's much stronger than that. I bet she can run all the way back to City Center in her state." Vlad gave me a look, telling me that he knew that I might be plotting something.
