Chapter 47 (Part 1): Blood

"He missed, keep going!" I yelled after they looked back at me.

We ran down an alley and into a street.

We were in the poorer district of Amber City, where every piece of infrastructure was in bad shape.

Soon we heard more footsteps and shouts behind us, and it wasn't long before we were fired at.

At least we managed to dodge the bullets as we snaked our way through alley after alley.

"Through here!" Gavin directed us down a little side street and then down another one. We turned left and then right.

I found it hard to keep up with their speed. My whole body was in pain.

After a while, there were no more Riot members behind us.

"We've lost them," Quinton said between gasps.

"It seems that way," Gavin responded, sounding less out of breath than the rest of us. He must have been fit. But I guessed that most paramedics needed to be in good shape.
