Chapter 66: Crumbling World

I couldn't register a single item or sound around me. It was like I sat in a vacuum - a place where nothing existed.

My whole life had been a lie. Everything I had to endure, everything I fought to become. It was all for nothing.

My parents weren't my parents. The brothers I grew up with weren't my brothers. Even my new-found brother wasn't even my brother.

Who was I really? Who were my real parents?

I was alone, tossed into the middle of a raging ocean, and I didn't know what to do - what to feel. Every one of my senses were under water, and waves threatened to drown me.

"Hey, Princess? For God's sake, how long have you been sitting here?" Danté's voice pulled me from the depths of the ocean.

Slowly, I looked around. I was outside of Gavin's apartment. How did I get there?
