Chapter 69: Back Down to Earth

My screams were silenced by the hand that covered my mouth.

That dreadful scent. It was an expensive cologne made by a perfumer from Paris that only makes ten bottles of it a year.

It was a luxury to own it, but as I had come to know, most people who can afford such a luxury shouldn't be allowed to.

"Shut up, b*tch," Jordan whispered in my ear, his voice causing all the hairs on the back of my neck to stand up.

He held me against him in a way that I couldn't fight myself out of, but it didn't stop me from squirming.

"If you make a single sound, I will make sure your precious friend, Hannah, will never breathe another breath again."

Even in the past, he used Hannah as a means to manipulate me, because he knew that my own life meant nothing to me - I wasn't afraid to die.
