The Fall of Badger City - Prelude

Seth and Elena rushed to the walls, trying to fasten their belts and clothes hastily. A sudden chaotic vibe filled the entire village as several alarms and sirens followed the first one from the main entrance. 

"Elena, hurry. They're attacking two walls at once."

"I know! Damn... My legs are still weak..." Seth looked at her strangely, his lips curled upward into a doubtful grin. 

Not because of her words, but the fact he knew after sex, because of the cultivation technique, her body should be stronger than ever and filled with excess energy.

"I'm not carrying you. You can stop faking it!" 

The frosty evening air was no longer biting at his cheeks—instead, a warmth of uncertainty and anxiousness built in his chest.

He watched the village as dozens of people, soldiers, guardians, and hunters all scrambled to grab their weapons and rush to the north and east walls. Some guided the villagers and non-combatants to the bunker for safety.
