CHAPTER 5

I sat alone in my dressing room, thinking until Sharon entered. She was in charge of hairdos for special nights, and since tonight was my first private session, she came to make my hair.

“Nothing could go wrong, right?” I mentally asked myself.

“There you go,” Sharon patted me lightly on the shoulder, smiling at me. “You look stunning.”

I took one last look at myself in the mirror and smiled at my reflection. Indeed, I looked good.

About 5 minutes later, Rayan came to me.

“He's in, Ronnie. Red room.” She announced.

“Alright. Wish me luck, girl.”

“You already got it.”

I sighed. “Well, entertaining rich and bossy men surely will be difficult.”

“But it won't be that bad. I'll see you later.” She left.

Taking slow steps, I finally got to the door of the Red Room. As I heard before, the red room was bought by a rich dude, but I had never met or seen him before.

I opened the door, took my gracious time, and walked seductively to my new spot.

What do people say about Red anyway? That it brings out the best in you… it makes you bold. Then yes, it made me bold.

I began my dance, but not once did this man look at me. I've never felt intimidated by anyone till he came onto the scene. I noticed he had been on his phone the whole time I was in the room.

What if the way I was dancing was not enticing enough? If he didn't like the way I was moving, I wouldn't be paid enough, probably. I sighed, and got down from my spot, slowly, and carefully, I walked to the man before me.

“What seems to get your attention more than me?” I asked, gently going down in front of him.

He looked up, but it was difficult to tell what was going on in his head.

“Well, my attention is on you, but I've got business, too.” He said, raising my head slightly with his forefinger.

“You came here to release your stress, not to get more worked up,” I spoke, not even recognizing my voice, and also batting my eyes at him.

I got up and did what my mind told me to do. So next, I found myself sitting on his lap, whining slowly on him, inhaling sharply, taking in his scent.

“You’re bold. I like that.”

“Mm... is that a compliment?” I asked in return, looking him straight in the eyes.

“Yes.”

“You could have asked any other person to do this, why me?” I asked but he didn't say anything.

I got up from his lap and went back to my spot to finish the last part of my dance.

Only God knows how hard it was for me to hold back myself from kissing him.

As I got ready to leave the room, his voice brought me to a halt.

“You're different from the other girls here. More beautiful and determined, and that is a green flag for me.”

“I see.”

“Aren’t you going to ask for my name?” He asked, tilting his head to the other side slowly.

“I believe it is your decision. If you want to tell me, you would.” I replied, my back against him.

“Then I guess I would tell you some other time. By then, you would be screaming my name when I bend you over.”

I quickly turned around, surprised at how forward he was and also to see that smug look and the smirk he had on his face.

“Good night,” I said to him in haste, and walked out of the room, more like I ran out actually. “Silly man” I muttered to myself.

Back in my dressing room, I felt hot, despite the cold temperature in the room. This man had so much confidence, a dominant for that matter. Just what I wanted.

_______

I came home tired because I always left the club for home at dawn. I took a warm bath, then went to Jerome's room.

“Are you asleep?” I asked, half standing in his room, half outside.

“Nope... I just finished working on something for work.”

“Okay.”

I walked closer to him and climbed his bed, getting comfortable beside him. None of us said anything, we just lay there in silence. After a while, I asked, “How did your day go?”

“Well, what can I say? It was pretty normal. Another day with my annoying boss, nothing special aside from the fact that I had a quickie with one of my flings in the office.”

“Oh, Jerry, Jerry, Jerry. When will you change?” I chuckled.

“What about you? How was the night, Princess?” He spoke with humor dancing in his voice. I waited for a while when he got up to put his laptop on his desk and later came back to bed.

“Earlier this week, when I told you about the 'Him'? I said, almost sounding like a question.

“Yes.” Jerome lay by me, waiting to listen to whatever I was going to say.

“Apparently, he asked me to be his private dancer. It's crazy, right?” I asked rhetorically. “But Kyle did agree to it, plus, the money is really good.”

“That's great. Finally, something good is happening here.” Jerome replied. “On a second guess, are you sure it's not because of this crazy itch you've got that made you also agree?”

Of course, he also had to say the obvious, as if I did not know that already. I started laughing.

“Very funny Jerry, you seem to know how to help me with all my problems.” I said

sarcastically.

“Oh! Come on, you and I know that it's true. But I've got you anyway.”

“Yeah, yeah. The guts this man has got, Jerry. He told me he would tell me his name when he bends me over.” I said, rolling my eyes, even though the thought made me smile.

“Mm... someone is as impatient as you are, girl. Y'all can't wait to be doing it skin-to-skin.” He laughed and I laughed along.

“You're really funny, Jerry.”

Another face-to-face encounter between Mr. Handsome and Morgan/Rayan.. mmm hot
