CHAPTER 10

JABARI

“I want you to quit dancing here. I mean in this club.”

“What did you say?” She asked and broke into laughter. I wondered what was funny that made her laugh. I was being serious and she took it as a joke?

“You heard me. I don't want you working here anymore. This is not a good place for you Mor—” I did not finish speaking before she cut me short.

“You can not tell me what to do and what not. Who do you even think you are, Mr. Tejada? And just so you know, I'm not quitting. You're not the boss of me, and certainly, Kyle does not take orders from you.”

It's been a long time since I took an interest in a woman. Something about her kept drawing me to her. I kept calmly staring at her while she continued to be the tigress she was. Kyle had said that earlier that she wasn't going to agree with me so easily but I wasn't going to stop. She was mine even if she didn't know it. She became mine from the very first time I laid my eyes on her. She, Morgan, belonged to me.

“Don't be stubborn,” I spoke again, my brows furrowed. “I know you don't like it here.” My voice was stern and I was not smiling either. My glare turned fierce.

“You don't know anything and you don't know me either.” She replied.

“I know you June, probably more than you even know yourself. I know you live together with your best friend which I hate with every muscle in me. I know you don’t have friends aside from your best friend and Alexa. I know your father doesn’t know you work here. I know you see Kyle as your elder brother.”

She stared at me dumbfounded as I spoke.

“All those useless men who lay their eyes on you make me sick, and I, I am not going to spare anyone who touches you because I do not share what's mine.”

“Who are you?” She asked in a calm tone, confusion settled on her face.

“You already know who I am.”

She scoffed. “Don't act like you're any less than them. Those men make me sick as well, and that includes you. I do what I do to please your filthy souls and hungry eyes to get money. You and I don't even have to talk, you’re just a customer and I’m your server. So, Mr. Right, if you can't go with that flow, lemme go back to dancing for everyone, besides, I'm not owned by you.”

“Are you sure about that? Are you sure I also make you sick? Really?” Amidst talking, I kept moving forward as she moved back.

“So you can't stand me?” I asked again.

“Why didn't you stop what happened between us that night if I make you sick as well?”

She said nothing but her little moans said it all.

“Don't be shy to tell me that I turn you on,” I spoke with so much confidence because I knew I was right.

“I, no, you're, you're—” she tried so hard to form words but still failed to make sense. I brought lips to her neck, and her head fell to the side, giving me more access.

“So I make you sick?” I asked again and she still couldn’t say a word.

“J... Jabari,” she stuttered.

“What were you saying baby girl?” I asked, a hint of tease in my voice. “Should I stop?” I enjoyed every minute of the moment. I enjoyed how I robbed her of her words. “Tell me, do you want me to stop?” She nodded and finally gave an answer which came out breathy.

“Yes.”

“Say it like you mean it.”

“I want you to stop,” she replied again in my husky voice.

I’m a second, my fingers were already playing with the hem of her thong. I moved my head back a little to see the dazed look she had. I sent my fingers lower beneath the hem, touching a little of her flesh.

“You and I know you want this,” I said to her and took my hand out, sucking on my fingers. “But I only reward good girls. Until you're ready to be my good little Muse, you will be punished.”

For a moment she looked disappointed but it disappeared as quickly as it came.

“Don't make rules for me. And the name's Ronnie, not Morgan,” and just like that, she left the room.

A smile appeared on my face, I knew I was never going to let her go away from me.
