The great general, Teri's father, defied the usurper king. In a hidden chamber, he revealed a box—an enigma of destiny. Three artifacts nestled within, each pulsing with purpose. "Find their owners," the general urged, entrusting the box to his daughter, Darlene. "Escape," he whispered to his wife, urging her to flee with their children.

The constables hunted, but the family eluded their grasp. Days turned to weeks, and news of the great general's demise reached Teri's mother. Alone, penniless, she remarried—a fragile alliance that would soon shatter.

Teri's stepfather despised the weaver's gift—the communion with ghosts. A poisoned pastry stole Teri's sight, but not his resolve. When his mother's screams pierced the night, Selena, his spectral sister, whispered the truth. Fury ignited within him, and the stepfather met his end. King of the former dynasty

The break of day painted the town in cold hues. People shoveled snow from their doorsteps, while others heated water to stave off the chill. 


Within the manor where the six travelers—Elley, Melovine, Prince Ivive, Mizak, Kiera, and Teri—resided, everyone remained indoors. In Teri's bedchamber, he sat cross-legged, eyes closed, hands resting on his lap. But today, something was different: there were no threads on his fingers. 


Selina materialized beside him. "Are you ready?" she asked. 


Teri's lips curved into a smile. "Of course," he replied, opening his eyes and rising from the bed. His black attire consisted of a long-sleeved shirt beneath a flowing robe. 


As he opened the door, he was met with an unexpected sight: Melovine, Elley, Mizak, and Prince Ivive stood waiting. Fully dressed, weapons at their sides, they anticipated Teri's words.
