Beta's Outrage

Beta's eyes narrowed as he processed the sight before him, his brain struggling to accept that a zombie could engage in conversation. "How can a zombie like you... speak?" The words tumbled out, tinged with disbelief.

Zorvax responded with a casual tilt of his head and a wry smile that didn't quite reach his cold, black eyes. "I don't know. Maybe because I am the chosen one," he replied, his voice dripping with irony.

Beta's form was rigid with tension, the disbelief and realization of Zorvax's identity still fresh. His hands, now balled into tight fists, reflected his inner turmoil. He gestured toward the ground below, where the turmoil of the zombie onslaught continued to unfold.

"All of this," Beta said, his voice edged with accusation as he swept his hand across the scene below, "Are you the one who is responsible for this?"
