Company Troubles

Janet settled into the chair, crossing her legs as she tried to focus on the codes before her.

She picked up one of the files to go through as she found one of the codes different from the rest of the codes.

She got out her phone to translate the code which turned out to be a name she did not think she would come across again.

It was her surname but one she had changed as a child. Her mother had not argued when she wanted it changed and instead had supported her choice to change the name.

However, staring at the name now made her wonder why her true surname was showing up in one of these files. 

She shrugged and continued to read through the books as more of the name kept popping up in different languages.

"What is this?" she muttered under her breath, reading through the files in shock.
