"Look as much as I'd like to stay and watch telenovelas and enjoy my new life as a semi demon hybrid human, I've still got work to do," she sighed. "I've become so deeply involved in this that I cannot let it go. 

 

"I might find something that could lead me to my past and help me understand what I need to do or know. Maybe I could even find something about my father."

 

"You're leaving without me?" he asked.

 

"No, I'm not, but it's not like you'd want to come with me right? It's going to be boring and…"

 

"I serve you, what part of that don't you get?" he asked as she walked to the door.

 

"Yeah, that is a valid point."

 

"So where are we going?"

 

"You'll see," she smiled. "Let's get going and I'll tell you on the way."

 

He zipped to the door to open it for her as she walked out with him, locking the door.
