Liam shrugged "what can I say!" He muttered "it's not like you said anything wrong! She wouldn't be able to tell mom she was with her girlfriend anyway!"

"What girlfriend?!" The three heard a familiar voice ask from the side making them stiffen

Liam turned slowly, eyes meeting his mother's….

She was smiling warmly, creepy!!

"What girlfriend?" The woman asked again, the warm smile not leaving her face

The three cleared their throats awkwardly, their postures stiffening, what were they supposed to say now!!

"Oh Levi, you're back, where's El?" The woman asked, eyes on the three

Levi cleared his throat awkwardly "she's upstairs, in her room!" He muttered

"Is she okay?! Has she eaten already!" The woman asked

She was asking was supposed to be considered simple questions but the three felt like they were being interrogated for saying something wrong, they felt like they had been caught in a wrong act.
