Taylor Smith's birthday celebration was held at the Smith Family mansion.
The lobby was open for guests to socialize, while the backyard served as a private resting area for the Smith family, inaccessible to others.
The evening was the crucial moment, and not many guests arrived in the morning; those who did were important to Taylor, and he had to personally entertain them. Ruffy was also busy today; he had picked up Ellen earlier to show her where he had lived since childhood.
"You've only had dinner at my house once and didn't get the chance to see my living quarters last time," he said.
As Ruffy pushed Ellen along the corridor, he showed her his personal living space spanning an entire floor of the mansion's backyard, usually occupied by him alone, with occasional visits from servants and Taylor.
Ellen was frank: "There was no need to see your room then, and I wasn't interested."
After all, living spaces were fundamentally alike.
