"Amanda, you shouldn't blame yourself; the one to blame is me," Ethan Jenkins sighed heavily, reaching out to gently caress Amanda's head. His hoarse voice was somewhat suppressed, yet it was extremely tender, "It's my fault that I couldn't give you a happy and swift life."
Amanda took Ethan's hand, looked up at him with tears in her eyes, and a meaningful smile flickered through, "Brother, let's not blame ourselves anymore. Now that you're back, as long as you're by my side, I will be very happy and joyful."
Ethan sighed softly.
Without Lucas Griffin, could she really still be happy and joyful?
"Brother, let's go home," Amanda sniffled, blinking away the tears in her eyes. "Dad will be very happy if he knows you're still alive."
Ethan's expression darkened, but he didn't speak.
Amanda quickly said, "Dad told me that he knew you weren't his biological son even before you were born, but he still loved you very much. So, if you can go back, he would be very relieved."
