Burn one's bridges

Amanda Jenkins left the island and made it to the shore.

After getting off the cruise ship, she turned back to look at the sea, but could not find any trace of the island.

The sea under the setting sun was exceptionally beautiful.

It was a pity that she couldn't traverse this beautiful scenery to return to Lucas's side anymore.

Jonas urged from the side, "Get in the car."

Seeing Brother Kirin in such pain also made him uneasy; he just hoped everything would be over soon.

"No need to take me. I'd like to walk by myself; I'll hail a cab on the roadside later," Amanda said. "Thank you."

After that, Amanda lifted her foot and walked away.

Jonas didn't follow her. In a situation like this, they both needed some time to cool off.

Amanda walked alone by the seaside; the sea breeze brushed past her ears, and she seemed to hear again what Lucas had said just before:

"Send her away! I don't want to see her ever again!"
