Staring at Evelyn Crawford's seemingly innocent smile, he decided to expose her false facade.
Jasper Bollock spoke sternly, "Enough, stop pretending in front of me."
"Pretend what?" Evelyn showed a fleeting look of confusion and tilted her head towards Jasper Bollock, smiling, "I'm not pretending. Just like you, I express my emotions authentically. When I'm happy, I'm genuinely happy, and when I'm sad, I'm really sad. Just like how I like you—I simply want the whole world to know without any pretense."
But Jasper scoffed, "I don't believe a woman full of lies doesn't pretend."
"What do you mean?" Evelyn slightly furrowed her brows in anger, "What have I done wrong again? How can you discredit me like this? My feelings for you are genuine and absolute, as clear as day and night!"
Jasper turned his face away, not looking at Evelyn, and said coldly, "The other night, you didn't go out to save any kidnapped children; you went to meet a man."
