"Even if you could, I've accepted it!" he said seriously, his gaze deep, as if he truly didn't care whether she'd seek revenge on him or not.
Sofia Hamilton lifted the corners of her mouth, not forgetting to taunt him, "Is this an admission, you've wronged me?"
A trace of complex bitterness flashed in Ryan Gregory's eyes and after a moment of silence, he replied, "Yes."
As their eyes met, his were always unfathomable to her.
Sofia Hamilton didn't know whether he genuinely felt sorry for her or was planning to toy with her once again.
But regardless of which it was, she didn't want to get entangled with him.
Wasn't it just about treating a wound?
Once it was done, she could leave, right?
Sofia Hamilton lowered her eyelids, bit her teeth, and suppressed the discomfort in her heart as she opened the medicine chest.
After searching for a bit, she found some ointment for burns...
