"Mr. Baker is the only grandson of Chairman Baker and is naturally the most qualified person to succeed him. If we really are to choose a new Chairman, I support Mr. Baker."

In the midst of these supporting voices, there were those who objected, "Chairman Baker has only been in the hospital for two days—are you all not being too hasty? I suggest we wait until he wakes up before making a decision. Maybe he has someone else in mind."
"Exactly, Chairman Baker has only been admitted for two days and you're already pushing to elect a new one—this is too disrespectful."
Among those supporting Arthur Baker, someone frowned and said, "Everyone knows that the Chairman was stricken by a stroke; a stroke is not a cold. It's not something you can recover from in a day or two. Do we all have to wait? What about the company's losses during this period?"
As soon as some heard their interests might be threatened, they started to waver.
