The group arrived undetected, as silent as ghosts.
Without a trace.
The wooden boat they had been on had been abandoned several kilometers away, and they had swum the rest of the way.
Moreover, even the sounds of their swimming on the water's surface were extremely faint.
Until—
They appeared on the beach, soundless.
Flossie Wright was in a higher position, some distance away from the beach, her gaze fixed on the group of shadows crawling out of the sea, her lips lightly curving into a smile.
It began!
"Target spotted."
In the silent channel, Flossie's slow voice sounded.
"How many can we take out?" the platoon leader asked quickly.
The group that had snuck onto the beach was a four-person team, but that didn't rule out the presence of others yet to show themselves.
After two seconds of silence, Flossie said austerely, "One."
They could only take out one.
They were moving separately; by the time one would go down, the others would have already scattered.
