The door was knocked.
The Grand Duchess inhaled softly, "Come in!"
The door was pushed open, and the old king led the way, followed by Lucas Walker, Ivana Bennett, and Judy. As they entered, Adam Walker immediately stood up.
The old king approached with a smile, extending his hand. The two men shook hands, and the old king spoke with a grin, "General Walker, since you're here, you should stay in the Royal Palace for a few days, so that I can show you some hospitality."
Adam hesitated slightly, "I'm very sorry, Your Majesty, but I'm afraid I can't stay for too long."
"Uncle Walker," Ivana stepped forward, "aren't you on vacation now?"
"It's... a family matter," said Adam.
A family matter?
It must have been his wife who called, she supposed!
With that remark, the Grand Duchess became even more convinced of her guess, and her heart sank further.
"I'm a bit tired and would like to rest for a while. Why don't you all go out and chat?"
