Chapter 13

His eyes were dark and cold as he stared at the men in the meeting room, the man's throat was slit and dropped down to the floor and painful goosebumps filled Kaylan'a skin like hot water being washed all over my body.

"Y..y-yes, we are fine with your Luna!" One of them stuttered and he smirked.

"Good! She's going to be your Luna! Stamp that fucking documents, let me get the hell out of here."

He ordered and it was stamped immediately with the official stamp that marked the white document with a royal blue mark.

"Great, get the necessary things for the ceremony during the full moon and we'll be cool " He smiled at the men sweetly as if he hadn't just coldly murdered one of them but they had no choice but to return the smile and take a bow till they left.

His hands were securely wrapped on her wrists and she thought of the one thousand ways to be free from his grasp and flee forever.

Her heart was in turmoil, jumbled and messed up with thoughts of what she had done to her mate.

She wanted to yell and cry in regret for what she did but a part of her became hardened.

If only he wasn't too brutal, if only he wasn't too Wicked, selfish, and nonchalant.

She began to wonder why she was feeling remorseful when these men had never had any iota of sympathy towards her existence but treated her as garbage.

Not even their looks were able to cover the devilish shadow they portrayed in them. It makes her wonder if they were demons in Lycan clothing and personality.

"Are you deaf?" Gareth snapped at Kaylan who shrieked from his voice, wondering what he was saying to her for her to Lose focus.

"I'm sorry Alpha."

"You know your position as a slave remains Intact despite being my Luna right?" He asked harshly and she nodded at him and bit her lips.

"Good, 'cause I won't hesitate to kill you and resurrect you alive if you try anything funny!" He spat at her and she swallowed and nodded.

She knew he meant every word he said and only a fool would think he was bluffing.

The pack could make a crazy hole in her body when she was seen walking with Gareth, the shock laced on their face was too evident, the disgusting sneer and curses thrown at her for walking with their dear Alpha made Kaylan rolls her eyes and wished to tell at them that she didn't give a damn.

She reached inside and she was met with Zane's worried face, he was weighed down terribly and she could see his eyes swollen as if he was crying.

Her heart twisted in pain and she gritted her teeth in pain.

What has she done?

She just wanted to be free, she thought it would be easy to get rid of him after years and torture and agony with him but right now, she was filled with a heavy laid of pain dragging her while being down. Her entire existence was blaming her for doing this horrible thing.

"How is he?" Gareth asked Zane dryly and not a word was spoken. Zane hates Gareth's guts and he wasn't afraid to express that.

He would do anything to make sure he avoids Gareth at all costs, or else he loses himself and punches him to death.

"It's really bad," The pack doctor replied instead. "...he was poisoned with a bane. It's so lethal and dangerous for his beast so his whole system is knocked off for now."

He explained and Gareth shrugged, not saying another word but turned to me.

"I'm hungry." He said curtly and she nodded, knowing it was his way of telling her to serve his meal.

She was about to leave when Zane's angry voice stopped her.

"You did it, didn't you?" His voice was laced with conviction that he knew what he was saying and was sure of it but Gareth chuckled.

"Let the poor girl be and direct your frustration elsewhere.."

"I wasn't referring to you Gareth, fuck off!" He blasted in fury and took slow steps to meet Kaylan, whose face was hidden in her hair with a wild thumping heart.

"You used the Wolfsbane in him right?" He asked her desperately, there's nothing like a bane in the Crescent Star Pack. Lycan's bane was stored and kept in the sacred sanctuary of the Moon messenger and was rarely used.

His guts insisted that Kaylan had something to do with his health no matter her calm attitude.

If she did that to him, she must have the cure.

"Answer me Dammit! Nothing should happen to Cypher, nothing! So fucking tell me the cure to whatever you did to him." He said almost desperately and Gareth Lost it.

"Any the fuck are you still standing there Kaylan?" He yelled at her and she scrambled out before turning his gaze to Zane.

"You will learn to be nice to my future Luna and stop throwing tantrums. Your deer Alpha has always been weak from the beginning so don't get so worked up"

Zane chuckled at his statement and shook his head.

"Your future Luna? You're choosing a lady, whose life you destroyed as Luna and you think you're free, you think you can still control her even when she becomes your Luna right?"

"How is that your business?" He asked Zane who smiled pitifully at him.

"She will make you end up in the same fate as your brother so if you know what's good for you, better tell her to bring the cure."

Gareth laughed hard, he couldn't believe that Zane was going crazy over his brother who was barely dead. He wondered how he was going to react when he finally died and who he was going to accuse this time around.

How could Kaylan raise her face to them, talk more of poisoning him? It was the lamest joke ever.

"You're crazy, Your delusions are humorous and you should stop before you get crazy"

"I'm telling the damn truth!" Zane seethed.

"I'm not saying this to please you or justify her act, you both deserve more than death for what you've done to her but not this way, not this time so, talk to her about the cure."

"The only thing I'm telling Kaylan of is to serve me and learn of different ways to submit to me while I have her, so kindly fuck off with your silky suggestions!" He fired at him and walked out, leaving Zane in a crumpling hope.
