YOU HAVE ME

"Four wives," Eleanor muttered, her fork stabbing into the cake. "Will you collect more, too, so they can defend you like Adonis's wives? I'm truly happy for him. They're like warriors, protecting him from harm."

Her lips pursed, eyes flashing with anger.

Ares's lips curled into a smile, his gaze fixed on his wife who was seated on the cushion, munching on a piece of cake. "Should I marry three more wives, then?"

Eleanor glared, her eyes flaring. "Do as you please."

"Are you sure? Because this is a life changing opportunity, darling," Ares lounged on the bed, hand propped under his forehead, watching her with amusement.

Eleanor rolled her eyes, exasperated. "You're free. It's your life. Our marriage is complicated, so you have all the freedom you desire."

Ares nodded, still smiling. "Thank you."

His tone dripped with sarcasm, but Eleanor's irritation only grew.
