Chapter 17: Did we just take a test

"Ok students let's begin"

Hiroshima for the first time took off his scarf and threw it at the auditorium, his slender neck was seen by most of the students, revealing his neck muscles.

After two arm stretches from Hiroshima, he brought out a little rock from his right pocket.

The rock was pale blue and rough, having a bit of earth crust on them.

"Do any of you know what this is?"

Hiroshima asked while raising the rock up,

"Oh I've seen it before"

Kai said from were he sat at, in a crossed legged position he spoke.

"That rock is Gorium

Discovered by Mashashi Basho, one of the descendents of the founder, Those rocks have high melting point and insane durability"

Kai explained what he knew about the rock shown by Hiroshima.

"Yes, you're correct, the rock do have insane durability and are also almost impossible to break, for you guys that is, but we're not here to discuss on how to break them,.

Kai, you missed one important detail "

Hiroshima faced the rock to Kai and infused his kengen in it.

"The rock conducts kengen way smoother than greased bearing"

"that's our lesson for today,

You must know how to channel an equal amount of kengen in the stone,

I said something about durability, well the only thing that could break Gorium easily is kengen "

"So be careful on the amount of kengen you pour into it".

Hiroshima tossed rock to Kai, "make 10 of these will you", Hiroshima asked.

Then Kai forged 10 of the gorium in an instant. "Good pass it to each of them" Hiroshima requested, kai tossed the rocks with precise accuracy, it even fell in to Mikami's hands which were quite sweaty.

"Good luck"

With a salute with his two fingers, hisroshima disappeared from where he was.

"Ok I got most of part so…."

Mikami who got junpy after receiving a rock went to the corner of the field and began infusing kengen

'Concerntrate, it isn't that hard, is it?"

Mikami poured all his concentration into the stone.

"Concentrate, concentrate, concentrate, food, concentrate, food "

The rock started giving a light blue color

He couldn't contain the excitement and show the rest of the class,

"woah that's nice"

Yukito who just finished infusing his kengen turned around to see what Mikami was showing them.

It turns out that Yukito rock was as bright as the ceiling light above them.

With disappointment in his face, Mikami smiled a little with a tear on his left eye,

"woah your's great too"

Hiroshima suddenly appeared at the door way

"oh and they cost a fortune, I'd advice you don't break them"

Those words sent shivers through Yota's back as she cracked her stone. She looked both sides to see if anyone was having trouble with their stone, The suspense of everyone began to make her extremely nervous until she saw Mikami's stone.

"Ha!"

Yota ceased the opportunity to tease Mikami,

"Is that what you call a light, it's more like a candle… exactly how you look like". Mikami grunted and turn to Yota,

"Hey I… then he noticed the cracks on her stone"

Yota noticed Mikami's eyes and tried to hide her stone

"Hehe, if you promise to stop teasing me I'll take the blame" Mikami proposed a bargain

"Nah I'd rather eat dog poop" with hands folded Yota spoke with confidence, and there was no way to convince her otherwise.

"well worth a shot"

Mikami said …then he thought for a minute

"wait these are fake, the real one's with Kai"

He turned to Kai whose stone shined more than Yukito,

"Yes you're right, my kengen only focuses on bringing my imagination to reality, but unless I know the true nature of an object I'm just making a stone that shines on contact with kengen"

With a sigh of relief and sweating bullets from Mikami's face, he continued to infuse kengen to the stone.

"I'm hungry" Mikami's stomach growled.

*Tap tap tap*

The sounds of footsteps echoed round the hall and a man with cotton candy walked out of the dark corner of the room

"well done, this concludes your first year exam, well at least the practical part"

Hiroshima said while eating his candy

"HUHHH!!"

Most of the students exclaimed, "wait are you for real" Yota asked confused, "I thought we still had like 3 weeks to go, it's only been 2 days" yukina followed with a bit of frustration. Kai and Kaito kept quiet to observe the situation a bit.

"So I guess we're left with the theory aspect" Kai said with his hands folded,

"Yes and class dismissed"

Kaito and the rest left the hall with puzzled face

"I'm going to my room, it's 5:30 anyways"

Mikami said. "Kaito you coming?"

Kaito followed Mikami to their dorm,

Yukito and Kai left to their room

Yukina and Rika did the same

Then Ren and Ken left to their room

Finally Yota left to her room, since she was the only one there

Same as Chris

Chris stayed calm through the whole scenario, infusing his kengen and leaving the scene before Hiroshima showed up.

In Rita's and Yukina's room

"You really did a number on Chris" yukina said

Rika was in the kitchen making tea for both of them.

"he deserves what ever happened to him…but on the other he doesn't." Rika replied as she came out with two cups of tea, she placed the tea down on the center table, the aroma of the tea came out of the room's window making the other staffs salivate.

"what did you see exactly?" Yukina asked.

"I'm not sure you'd want to know" Rika said taking a sip, Yukina did the same and asked again,

"I'm just curious" Yukina said with her two hands up.

"I just hope he's ok"
