Cultivation Method

After Songtain's mind became clear, he realized he had not yet started to cultivate. He only knew there were two ways of cultivation: the first one being Qi cultivation and the second one being Body cultivation.

Songtain sat cross-legged on the smooth stone floor of the secluded cave, the flickering light of the torches casting dancing shadows on the walls. He took a deep breath, feeling the cool air fill his lungs, and let his thoughts drift towards the two paths laid before him.

Qi Cultivation, the art of harnessing and refining the invisible energy known as Qi, had always fascinated him. He had heard countless tales of legendary cultivators who could soar through the skies, summon elemental forces, and extend their lifespans by hundreds of years. Qi cultivation promised immense power and near immortality, but it also required unwavering focus and an innate talent to sense and manipulate Qi. Songtain knew that achieving even the first stage of Qi cultivation, Foundation Establishment, could take years of diligent practice.

Body Cultivation, on the other hand, was a more tangible and visceral path. It involved strengthening the body to extraordinary levels, making it impervious to weapons, capable of shattering boulders with a single punch, and possessing boundless stamina. Body cultivators were the epitome of physical prowess, often revered as invincible warriors on the battlefield. However, the path of Body cultivation was one of constant physical pain and grueling training. It demanded rigorous conditioning, medicinal baths, and consuming rare herbs to fortify the body.

Songtain pondered the advantages and disadvantages of both paths.

Advantages of Qi Cultivation:

Longevity: The potential to live for centuries.

Mystical Powers: Ability to control elements, fly, and perform incredible feats.

Mental Clarity: Enhanced spiritual awareness and insight.

Disadvantages of Qi Cultivation:

Time-Consuming: Requires years of meditation and practice.

Innate Talent: Not everyone has the ability to sense and manipulate Qi.

Vulnerability: Qi cultivators might be physically weaker, especially in the early stages.

Advantages of Body Cultivation:

Immediate Results: Physical strength and resilience can be quickly observed.

Tangible Power: Enhanced physical abilities and combat skills.

Durability: A strong body can withstand attacks and endure harsh conditions.

Disadvantages of Body Cultivation:

Physical Pain: Intense and often painful training regimens.

Resource-Intensive: Requires rare herbs, medicinal baths, and specific diets.

Limited Longevity: Body cultivators typically do not live as long as Qi cultivators.

As Songtain weighed these factors, a thought struck him. Why not pursue both paths simultaneously? The idea seemed audacious, even reckless, but the more he considered it, the more it made sense. By cultivating both Qi and Body, he could harness the strengths of each method and mitigate their weaknesses. He envisioned a future where he possessed not only the mystical powers of Qi but also the unyielding strength of a body cultivator.

The path would undoubtedly be more arduous, requiring immense dedication and perseverance. Yet, Songtain felt a surge of excitement at the challenge. With his mind made up, he decided to embark on this dual cultivation journey.

He stood up, feeling a renewed sense of purpose. The cave, once a place of refuge, now seemed like the perfect training ground. He would begin his Qi cultivation with meditation and breathing exercises to sense and gather Qi. Simultaneously, he would initiate his Body cultivation by performing rigorous physical exercises and seeking out the rare herbs needed for strengthening his body.

Determined, Songtain walked to the cave entrance, gazing at the vast wilderness beyond. The journey ahead would be long and fraught with challenges, but he was ready. With both Qi and Body cultivation methods at his disposal, he would forge a path unlike any other and achieve greatness.
