As soon as I entered the coffee shop, I came face to face with the last person I wanted to see.

Mrs. Ruth Rothschild.

"Hello Mrs. Rothschild. How are you?" I asked with a fake smile pasted on my face.

"Oh, hello dear. Still having problems with your ear? I can recommend you to a very good doctor.."

"There is no need for that, Mrs. Rothschild. I was just a little lost that day. I hope you can understand." I tell her, very calmly.

But from inside I'm seething. It was only one time.

"Well, if you say so dear. Hope you are not switching someone else's coffee with something else."

Okay, maybe two times.

But in my defense, the shop was packed that day. So, I may have confused her order with someone else.

Hey! it can happen.

"Mrs. Rothschild, I already apologized to you. Five times. What else can I do?" I asked her.

I'm getting more and more irritated.

I'm already agitated with that phone call and now this.

"Oh, I don't know dear. Learn to do your job maybe."

Before I could reply, she was already out of the shop.

There was a giggling sound coming from behind the counter. Of fucking course.

"You enjoy my misery, don't you?" I ask Sasha.

She started laughing then. Great.

"Some great friend you are." I muttered and started to tie my apron.

"I'm sorry. I'm sorry. But I just can't help myself. Ever since that day, all your problems and slip ups are happening with her only. It's hilarious to watch."

Just then my phone pinged.

It's a message from Zane.

'Can I call you? I want to hear your sweet voice?'

I blushed. He does that a lot. Always asking to call me. Because apparently, he likes my voice.

I sent him a quick reply.

'Sorry, I'm at work. Will call you later?'

Immediately a reply came back.

'Of course, Firefly.'

Oh, and he calls me 'Firefly'.

Why?

I don't know.

I asked him the reason. But he says that he'll tell me when the timing is right.

"Oh my god! Are you blushing, Ika?" Suddenly Sasha asked.

My eyes widened. I totally forgot that she was here.

"Who were you texting?"

"No one." I said quickly. Too quickly.

"Yeah, I don't believe you. Come on tell me. Who's this special person, who made you blush like that?" She asked in a curious voice.

"I told you, no one."

I can't tell her. It's too early. We just started talking.

But I really want to tell someone. It's been a week, and I still haven't told anyone. This secret is making my stomach hurt. I'm not very good at keeping things to myself.

"Ika, tell me. I won't tell anyone. I promise. It'll be our own secret."

Now that sounds promising.

"You Promise?"

"Cross my heart." She said copying my style.

"Okay, okay." I checked my sides to make sure no one was listening.

I took a deep breath and asked her. "Do you know Zane Sterling?"

"Are you talking about that famous actor from the series 'The Throne of Nightmares'?" She said, while crinkling her face.

"The very same. Uhh... it's him."

She started laughing again. "Yeah right. Now tell me. Who's he for real? Do I know him or something? That's why you're saying this. Is that it?"

"Hell no. I'm not lying it's really him. I just happened to text him four months ago and....."

"Wait...wait, you've been talking to him for the past four months and you didn't tell me?" She said sooo loudly that some of the customers started looking at her like she is crazy.

"Shh.. lower your voice." I said in a low voice.

Just then another customer came inside, and I went to attend him.

"Hello. Welcome to Cafe D' Bolla. What would you like to order?"

After being done with the customer. I told her everything that happened from the start.

"And we've been talking since then." I finished.

"Damn girl. You have secrets. Well, if all of your secrets are this hot and sexy, then I don't mind hearing them."

"Nope. No more sexy secrets." I chuckled.

"Holy shit. It's like a fucking Netflix show." She said dreamily.

I chuckled.

I couldn't agree more. It is like a dream.

I just hope it doesn't turn into a Nightmare.
