“Ohh…Ohhh…it's…hawt…”
“What the fuck man? I told you not to taste the blueberry sauce straight out of the saucepan.”
“You never said that. Oww…it burned my tongue.”
“I didn't?” Ethan's eyebrows crinkled a little and then he said, “Well…that's just common sense Sterling, I know you don't have it but you should just try to use it once in a while.”
My father's face turned red with anger and I just couldn't hold it together anymore. I burst out laughing.
No one and I mean no one has ever talked to my father like that before. I laughed for straight two-three minutes and then suddenly I remembered where I was. My laugh immediately died.
But when I looked around me, I found everyone smiling and chuckling.
Ethan came towards me and just hugged me and it was like no time had passed. His hug is still as strong and comforting as I remember.
“Hey there, buddy. It's good to have you back.” He said.
“It feels nice to be back.”
