"I've left a document here," Owen Moreland replied indifferently, his gaze upon Amelia Clarke deep and calm.
The girl was dressed in a military green cotton coat, with a ring of white fluffy fur around the collar and cuffs, making her look like a small, fluffy creature, standing quietly and obediently, like a well-behaved kitten.
Owen glanced at Dorothy Brown.
Understanding the question in his eyes, Dorothy Brown quickly responded: "A few days ago, Grace went on maternity leave, and I couldn't manage the cleaning by myself, so I went to a domestic service company to find a temporary worker to help me. I mentioned this to Mr. Moreland before, and coincidentally, the company sent Miss Clarke."
Owen nodded his head.
The man was wearing a dark gray coat, buttoned up to the very top, which made his tall and straight figure even more imposing, graceful, yet austere and noble.
