Mia Moreland glared at Amelia Clarke, "You don't have to rain on my parade like that!"
She pretended to be mad and ignored Amelia, but after a few steps, she turned back, "Shall we go buy dresses after lunch? He will be at grandma's birthday banquet too, and I want to buy a pretty dress. I want to show him that I've grown up, that I'm a big beauty!"
Amelia Clarke recalled the last time Mia was drunk, muttering things like 'He doesn't like me', and smiled at Mia. Usually, she never seemed to notice, the always giggly and childish Mia actually had someone she liked.
Only, Amelia feared the person she liked was much older.
Unlike others curious enough to pester Mia about who she liked, Amelia simply said, "I'll accompany you, but I won't buy anything."
Mia was puzzled, "Why not? Tomorrow is Granny Moreland's birthday banquet, and she specifically asked Your elder brother to bring you. Don't tell me you don't want to go?"
