"Amelia," Owen Moreland spoke while controlling the speed of the car, his tone serious and earnest, "I've said it before, I want both you and the child. Don't get carried away with your thoughts anymore. You need to learn to filter what others say, and not take everything to heart. We have a long life ahead of us together."
Amelia Clarke understood his meaning and after a moment of silence, she said, "Okay."
Owen's thumb caressed the back of Amelia's thumb, "Be good."
Amelia turned and kissed the man's arm through the fabric, a light peck, and said, "Mmm."
Owen smiled.
Forty-odd minutes later, the car stopped in a parking lot near the entrance of the alley to Celebanquet.
The couple got out of the car, hand in hand, snuggled up to each other as they walked into the alley.
Upon entering the courtyard of Celebanquet, they found it bustling with people, with about ten tables fully occupied.
