186: Owen Moreland's Tactics (5) Triplets (2)_7

But when she was ready to pay, she completely freaked out—she hadn't brought any money with her...

She turned her head to look at Owen Moreland, "Should we... take another look?"

Owen, seeing the embarrassed look on her face, with a hint of amusement in his eyes, reached into his coat at a leisurely pace, pulled out his wallet, and handed over a black card.

He didn't hand it directly to the salesperson, but instead gave it to Amelia Clarke, "You left your card with me, remember?"

Amelia took the card in a daze, wondering what he really meant by that—was he simply trying not to make her feel awkward or was there more to it?

After the card was swiped, Amelia asked the salesperson for a pair of scissors to help Owen cut the tag off the scarf he didn't actually like but still wore.

Walking towards the women's clothing section, Owen bought Amelia two thick down jackets and two pairs of flat cotton boots. They were expensive, not particularly stylish, but very warm and comfortable.
