Chapter 783: Missed

"Miss Amanda, are you troubled by something?"

Amanda Smith glanced sideways at her with a faint look, then shook her head with a smile, "No." As if to affirm herself, she added, "What troubles could I possibly have?"

Despite saying that, there was still not a hint of a smile in her eyes, only a growing sense of melancholy.

The servant was a sharp person and knew when to continue asking and when to remain silent. She nodded and said with a sweet smile, "Then I'll head downstairs. If you need anything, Miss Amanda, you can call for me from upstairs."

Amanda replied softly and then picked up her chopsticks to eat slowly.

After the servant mentioned it, she had already lost her appetite. Was her mood already that apparent?

Even if she acted indifferent to Grace Murdock, her body couldn't fool anyone.

She simply had no appetite.

Putting down her chopsticks, she stood up silently and looked out the tall window at the distant, brilliant expanse of sky.
