Mrs. Johnson arrived in what was obviously a rush, her hair uncombed and hanging in disheveled strands behind her. She searched frantically around the hall, her expressions a mix of impatience and panic, as if she had dashed here immediately upon receiving some news.
Grace Murdock had already gone to meet her, and the situation was somewhat under control.
"..." Samuel Johnson withdrew his gaze and said leisurely, "I'll leave the rest to you." He turned and headed for the back door of the hotel, "I'm leaving now."
"... Samuel!"
Tim Morrison, unable to contain himself, watched his retreating figure and shouted, "If something comes up, remember to find me... I'll always be your brother!"
Samuel paused in his steps, waved his hand behind him without turning back after hearing Tim's words, and then he left.
