But he couldn't voice his concerns, fearing it would frighten Xia Yiwan.
"Oh, Little Baozi, you should come out quickly; otherwise, in the later stages, your mommy might not even be able to leave the house." Xia Yiwan sighed and turned, extending her hand to Si Mo.
"Let's go, President Si!"
Si Mo slightly curled his lips upward and took her hand, heading to the car.
When they got to the park, Yan Xia was already there.
The two embraced tightly as soon as they saw each other.
"You chat; I'll wait over there." Si Mo pointed to a chair not far off.
It was close enough to Xia Yiwan but yet just out of earshot of their conversation.
"Okay." Xia Yiwan responded, pulling Yan Xia to sit down on a nearby chair.
"Wanwan, I really don't know what to do." Yan Xia said in a strained voice.
She wanted to go see her, but the thought of her mother's past resoluteness, and all the grievances she had endured over the years, made her feel so stifled.
