Nanxi lay there, not daring to move. Her heart was all over the place, she couldn't explain what she was feeling. The atmosphere was indescribably complicated.
A few minutes later, Nanxi rolled out of bed and picked up her pajamas she had thrown off earlier, then she put them on. Her eyes turned to the direction of the bathroom.
Inside, she heard the sound of running water, fairly loud.
There were no other sounds she could make out.
Nanxi was slightly nervous. She held onto the pillow and put it in front of her chest, having a sense of discomfort there.
She reached out and pulled the bedsheet. Her face under the covers was flushed like a pig's liver.
Suddenly, she heard her uncle shout her name. She froze for a moment, fearing that something happened. She quickly jumped out of the bed and walked to the door of the bathroom...
Gathering courage, she knocked lightly and called out, "Lu Yinchu?"
There was no response from inside.
