Chapter 164: Finding Joy in Suffering

I had been walking for quite some time now, and I was beginning to feel a bit peckish.

The sky is big, the earth is big, but an empty belly is the biggest. Well then, who cares about the rest? Let's eat first.

While the blonde girl was not watching, I pulled a pistol from my system space and shot a few plump, large wild birds nearby. Then, I came to a small pond and wrapped them directly in some mud.

After preparing everything, I picked up a pile of dry firewood and lit a fire.

Once the firewood was completely burned, I buried the birds in the hot coals. About half an hour later, I pulled out one by one, brushed off the mud which took off the feathers too.

A pleasant aroma filled the air.

I tore off a drumstick and started eating.

Delicious.

After finishing one, I ate another, but then I felt slightly sick, it was too greasy and there was no salt.
