Chapter 391: The Test

Damn it, it hurts!

Feeling that the ship had disappeared, he gritted his teeth and surfaced with his head from the water. Then, with a thought, a sizeable round plastic basin appeared out of nowhere in front of him, floating on the surface of the ocean.

He leaped, trying to climb onto it. However, he couldn't.

He had lost too much blood and was feeling weak!

With no other choice, he used all fours and laboriously climbed onto it. On reaching, he was so fatigued that he slumped down immediately, disregarding the bleeding wound on his back. He lit a cigarette and started smoking.

He had spent nearly half an hour underwater and almost all the blood that should have flowed, had flowed. There was no urgency to finish the cigarette quickly. He leisurely took puffs, savouring each one and blowing out smoke rings.

Being alive feels good.
