Rumors from the Desolate Wilds in ancient times tell of a Divine Tree in the southern lands, its roots entwined with the Earth, its crown touching the Sky Vault, so massive it seemed like a bridge between heaven and earth, sprawling across the land as vast as a mountain range.
Legendary beasts such as the nine heavens Kunpeng made nests upon it, hence the legend of Kunpeng roosting on the Jian Mu came to be.
In the newly completed city of the Gu Yuan Tribe, though there was no Jian Mu connecting heaven and earth, there was a Jian Mu whose trunk veiled the sky, overshadowing the enormous city.
The Jian Mu rose ten thousand feet into the clouds. From a distance, its lush branches spread hundreds of miles in every direction. Drooping boughs plunged into the ground, took root again, and sprouted like an ancient forest.
A forest from a single tree.
