The vehicles from Hong Kong were driven by two drivers who were both familiar with mainland China's circumstances, one of whom was a bodyguard who had been here before. He originally brought a master of quality control, but rumor has it the master had hopped on a plane midway and was waiting early at Jiang City's airport.
They set off yesterday morning, but quite unluckily, they had overestimated the current traffic and their own speed.
If the entire trip had been on a high-speed road, the nearly three-thousand-mile journey would've been long over. They would've then loaded the goods, and hopefully, have arrived at Hong Kong by late tonight. Unfortunately, the highways available are few and far between, mostly situated near large cities for short stretches. Like the one at the start of their journey, but the rest were mainly on national highways - toll booths littered the way, and vehicle inspections were even worse at night.
