Five hours of lengthy waiting had passed. Everyone else was incredibly tense, worried the enemy might attack at any moment. But Gu Fan had already found a good spot to sleep.
Li shook his head, unable to hold back his comment, "Buddy, you're way too relaxed."
Gu Fan's theory was simple. As long as the people sent out as bait hadn't returned, the enemy wouldn't show up so there was no need to tie himself up in knots with tension.
Another hour went by when the sound of a car engine came from outside the warehouse. Several people immediately ran out to check.
"Sorry, got a bit carried away having fun, so we're back late," said a male and female vampire as they stepped out of the car, cheerful and light-footed with confident grins on their faces.
Gu Fan heard the commotion too, knowing the male and female vampires had returned. He opened his eyes, stretched, yawned, and braced himself for the critical moment ahead.
