Hidden Plan

After some minutes, Asher heard the sound of the door opening. Pushing himself from the bed, he turned to look at who came in.

Standing by the door was a muscular boy, standing six feet tall. His dark red hair and eyes gave him the appearance of one who wouldn't like to be pissed off.

"Guess your roomy is here." Elsa who had been simply floating round the room since they got in spoke.

Asher looked at the boy, he screamed one word, thug. His black tank top, ripped jeans, and bandanna tied on his left arm, all added to the thug feel.

The boy pulled his bag inside and then turned to Asher. "Hey, the name's Simon Evan, nice meeting you." He introduced himself casually.

"Asher Terron," Asher said his name.

"what a weird name bro, what the hell is an Asher," Simon said while smiling.

Asher gave him a death stare, causing Simon to apologize. "Sorry bro, I was just kidding."

He went and sat down on the other bed. " So which section are you from?" Simon asked.

"I am from C," Asher responded while also adjusting to sit.

"I am from D, so we are kind of neighbors."

Simon stood up and walked to his bag, unzipping it and pulling out two bottles of soda. He handed one to Asher, before returning to his bed.

Asher looked at the soda, wondering how this dude kept this in his bag throughout the flight. He opened the cap and took a sip of the cola-flavoured drink.

Simon on the other hand gulped the drink till it was halfway gone, he released a satisfied sigh and then turned to Asher.

"So what's your aim for coming here?" Simon asked Asher.

Asher didn't immediately answer the question, he took another sip from the drink before answering. "I want to protect my mum."

"That's quite a selfish reason, but I think it is better than mine," Simon said before taking another gulp from his drink.

Asher let his curiosity get him, so he asked. "What's your reason then."

Simon removed the bottle from his mouth and answered. "I have a childhood trauma, I needed a place to move all my anger, so I thought why not kill the beast."

Asher could not fully understand the whack reason, but he felt that Simon was serious. Asher raised his bottle, "Cheers to whack reasons for joining the elite program."

"HA, HA." Simon let out a laugh, raising his bottle as well. "Cheers."

Asher was happy that his interaction with his roommate had kicked off smoothly. He didn't have friends, so he didn't want to become an enemy with the person he would be sleeping in the same room with.

"Though our reasons are whack, I think we have more drive to complete it than those who have planned reasons," Asher said.

"How so?" Simon asked.

"Well, I think we would subconsciously strive to give the reason real validity, to make it a legit reason to move on, so we will work hard for the sake of the reason," Asher explained.

"Damn, I can't say I get what you said, but I can tell it had a lot of wisdom in it," Simon said.

Asher burst into laughter when he heard Simon, Simon followed suit.

After a good minute of laughter, they both calmed down.

Asher noticed a meter-long bag that Simon had, it was unusual so he asked about it.

"What's up with that bag?" He pointed to the bag.

"This is just my baby," Simon said unzipping the bag and removing meter long great sword from it.

"It's not easy to get this type of weapon in section D, but my dad did all he could to get it for me," Simon said as he removed the sword's sheath, revealing a beautiful silver color blade.

"Same here, my mum used all her money to get my weapon." Asher unzipped his bag, pulling out his gauntlet.

Asher swapped with Simon, each admiring the other's weapon. Asher was enjoying the first moment when he had fun with someone other than his mum in a long while.

After they finished what they were doing, Simon reminded Asher of the fact that they had to read their rule books. Asher decided to create an easy system to get through the book. They would read the book out loud, switching every five minutes.

The two roomies stayed in their room doing a back-and-forth reading, wanting to finish the rule book. And they successfully did, going through all the details, though it had taken three hours they hardly felt it.

"So we need academic points to purchase things here," Simon said.

"Yup that's it, we should put on our watches to know our current account balance," Asher suggested as he walked to the desk, picking up the watch. Simon followed suit.

When they put in the watch, it turned on automatically, scanning their genetics and registering them as its owner.

Headmaster Leo sat inside his office, he looked as though he was in thought, but he was communicating with someone telepathically.

'Terron, even though we sealed your son's ability, you still found a way to get him one. You are a sly piece of shit. If your son knew what you did, he would beat the hell out of you before you could explain."

A voice responded. "Well, he will get to know in due time, just ensure he grows properly, and only give him a hand in life and death situations, but remember he can't die. Though we sealed his ability, he will awaken it when he is eighteen, and along with what I have given him, it will be enough to actualize the plan."

"You don't have to worry, I will handle everything. Just keep doing your part over there, and don't end up dead." Headmaster Leo said.

"Don't worry I won't be dying soon."

The telepathic transmission came to an end. The headmaster reclined into his chair, he played with a pen in his hands.

"I just hope this is not too much for the kid."
