However, my mother out of jealousy that she was about to lose the man she loved took advantage of him when he was drunk at a party. She ended up getting pregnant with me, forcing my father to have to marry her, as it is a custom to marry a woman you've impregnated.

However, dukes were allowed to have 2 wives, so he was still able to marry my sister's mother.

My father hated my mother and didn't treat her well. Giving her little to no attention at all. There's not a lot I remember about my mother since she died when I was quite young, I was 9 years old. However, I remember she didn't mind my father's cold behavior since she loved him. She tried to gain his affection regardless.
