Day off (2)

The next day Dazen followed Kenji's advice and took the morning off and slept late and when he got up quickly, he went to prepare something to eat.

While eating Dazen I thought: 'I think I'll stop by Takashi-sensei's office too, he helped me a lot with my training and it'll be cool to talk to him for a bit.'

Having finished eating, Dazen looked at the clock and saw that there was still some time left before the academy classes ended and then he began to organize and clean everything before leaving.

Soon Dazen arrived at the academy and saw several children leaving and talking to each other so he started walking towards the teachers' room and quickly arrived in front of Takashi's room and knocked on the door.

Then Dazen heard a voice replying: "Come in."

Dazen smiled and entered, Takashi soon saw Dazen and was surprised by the visit and said: "Dazen, what a surprise, I didn't expect you to return to the academy, what are you doing here?"

Dazen smiled and said, "My sensei gave my team a day off because of our good performance, so I thought I'd stop by and talk to Hiroshi and Koda since it's been a while since I talked to them and I might as well talk to you a little."

Takashi understood and said: "Okay, it looks like you're doing really well, isn't it, your sensei is Kenji, right? He's not the type to take it easy."

Dazen gave a dejected laugh and said: "That's right, he's even worse than you, he doesn't know the meaning of the word moderation, always training us to the limit of exhaustion and in missions he barely gets involved saying that we have to learn and when we complete the mission, he always points out dozens of mistakes calling us amateurs."

Takashi laughed loudly at Dazen's complaints and said: "Don't be like that, it seems like he's really taking your training seriously, that's a good thing, most jounin in charge of ninja teams don't care much about training their students and focus on in doing the basics, having such a diligent sensei will help you a lot in the future."

Dazen nodded agreeing with Takashi's words, he still remembers how Kakashi was towards team seven, 'Kakashi wasn't a good teacher for team seven he hardly taught anything, this can easily be seen in Sakura who was basically useless throughout classic naruto, it only became useful after being trained by Tsunade in shippuden.'

Takashi then continued talking and asked several questions about what the training was like, details of the missions, what his teammates were like and the two talked for half an hour.

Dazen then said: "I'm going now sensei; it was really good talking to you."

Takashi smiled and said: "Okay, come whenever you want to talk, training and doing missions is essential for a ninja, but it's also important to relax and rest from time to time so you avoid feeling overwhelmed."

Dazen nodded and then left, Takashi watched Dazen leave while thinking: 'He really grew a lot during this time, I could tell from his movements he is much stronger than before, I don't know if I could defeat him now, he will soon surpass me.'

Takashi sighed and smiled and then continued with his work, Dazen left the ninja academy then started heading towards the park while thinking, 'Knowing these two they must be having fun there.'

Arriving at the park he saw several children and among them he saw a group that belonged to his old class and among them of course was Hiroshi and Koda.

Dazen smiled and approached the group, "Hey, how are you guys?"

Hiroshi and Koda immediately recognized him and the latter said: "Dazen, what are you doing here?"

Dazen quickly replied: "My sensei gave my team a day off so I thought I'd come and see how you guys are, it seems like you guys haven't changed anything, always causing problems around."

Koda laughed and said: "Well, you know us, but you are really something, right? After becoming a ninja, you never showed up again, you really forgot your friends after becoming someone important, a truly heartless person."

So Koda faked an expression of disappointment at Dazen's actions, while Hiroshi laughed at his friend's words, both of them of course knew that Dazen wasn't that kind of person.

Dazen also laughed at Koda's actions and slapped his head as he said, "None of that I've been busy with training and missions all this time, my sensei is the crazy type, just now he gave us a break."

Hearing Dazen talk about training and missions, the two of them and the rest of the group began to get excited, they were all curious about what ninja life was like and hearing this from a former colleague was something that made them excited.

Hiroshi then quickly asked, "Dazen, what are your missions like? Have you ever fought any ninja from another village?"

Hearing Hiroshi's question, Koda and the others cheered up and waited for Dazen's answer.

Seeing everyone's expectations Dazen laughed at their childishness and replied: "You are thinking too much missions involving ninjas are very dangerous and being a genin I cannot do missions of this type, most combat missions involve some normal bandits who cause a lot of problems outside the village."

Dazen's answer didn't discourage them, on the contrary they started asking all kinds of questions about the missions, what they were like, how many missions he did, Dazen answered them all and talked to them for the rest of the afternoon.
