Kay was watching something on his phone when he felt Nadia's head on his shoulder. He stiffened up a little first before he relaxed and took it in. He was a bit surprised when he felt her lay on his shoulder but now, he just tried as much as possible to make sure that his shoulder was as comfortable as possible.
Jason turned to look at Nadia and noticed she was asleep on his son's shoulder. He was happy that they seemed to get along now but at the same time, he was a little bit jealous about how easily it was for her to rest on his son's shoulder.
Nadia was still sleeping when they got there and in an attempt to not wake her up, Kay remained in that position and so did his dad.
"Dad, why aren't you leaving"?
Kay asked his dad.
"What do you mean"?
"I mean, I'm the one holding her, not you. You should go in and say hello to Great-grandfather. I'll wait till she wakes up".
Kay said and Jason just kept looking at him. Truly, he could actually leave if he wanted to but for no reason at all, he decided to remain in the car.
"No, I'll wait for you both".
Jason countered
"But..."
In the process of their conversation, Nadia moaned lightly and blinked countless times before opening her eyes.
"Oh, we are here already. Did I delay you guys"?
She asked innocently and both men shook their heads indicating that she did not delay them at all.
Soon enough, they were finally going inside to meet their great-grandfather. When they got in, the person who saw the great-grandfather first, was Kay.
"Great-grandpa!!"
He yelled and ran to hug him.
His great-grandfather laughed joyfully and hugged his great-grandson very tightly before letting him go.
"How was your journey"?
Grandpa asked.
"It was amazing Great-grandpa, the flight was smooth too".
Kay replied and one could already tell that they had a very beautiful relationship.
I was still amazed by how they all loved Kay when he was adopted. Not that I have any I'll feelings against him but I still felt it was weird because most rich families look down on orphans, adopted children, and poor people but in this family, it was the complete opposite.
Grandpa O'Brien looked at me and began walking towards us. I didn't know what to do and just remained stiff in one position but then, Jason held my hand and we began walking towards him as well.
Grandpa O'Brien looked old but he still looked powerful, domineering, and elegant. I could tell that this was where all the men got their aura from. All except Mr Derrick of course.
I bowed lightly and greeted him.
"Good afternoon Sir, it's an honor to meet you".
"Sir? Sirrrr!!!?"
He said the first one a bit calmly but when he said the second one, I couldn't help but look at him with shock written all over my face.
"Why would you call me Sir when I want to call you my precious granddaughter-in-law"?
He said and it almost felt like he was acting sad. His face made me chuckle a little and then, I corrected myself.
"I apologize, Grandpa".
"Hahaha".
I heard him laugh.
"Now that is more like it".
He said and I smiled. The atmosphere was mostly peaceful and we were the only ones who had arrived.
We went to our various rooms to change up and rest a little. Because they thought we were truly dating, they said I'd have to share a room with him and it would be very suspicious if I disagreed so he led the way and we went to his room.
When we got in, I had countless thoughts in my head and sometimes, I even imagined what happened in the office happening again but I immediately shook it off from my head.
"I... I hope you are okay with this"?
I heard Jason ask and something rang in my head. These days, he was often sweet, calm, and patient with me. No hold on, he has always been this way with me I thought and smiled while moving my shoulder from left to right.
Honestly, no one makes me act this way aside from this man.
"Nadia"?
He called which brought me back to my senses.
"Huh"?
"You wouldn't mind sharing a room right".
"Why would I? You are my boyfriend".
I said as I walked towards the bed but as soon as that last statement came out of my mouth, I opened my eyes wide and paused in one place. Since I was not facing Jason right now, I couldn't see his reaction but I knew he would be just as surprised as I am right now.
'Shit, what the hell Nadia'.
Jason couldn't see her face but he knew she was very embarrassed. He couldn't help but laugh quietly as he moved closer to her.
"What's wrong? Are you regretting your words"?
He asked and I could already tell that he was teasing me. I turned around intending to stop his mockery but I didn't notice that he was that close so when I turned around, he was so close that if I raised my leg a little bit, my lips would be touching him.
He kept looking at me and I also couldn't take my eyes off of him as well.
"I would love to stay with you, but I'll fix something else for you if you feel uncomfortable".
"No!!"
I didn't mean to yell but I just did unknowingly as I did not want him to take me to another room. It might seem stupid but I didn't want to let him go so I yelled instinctively.
"I... I mean... You don't have to go to another room".
He looked at me and came closer as if we weren't close enough yet.
"You don't want to leave"?
"I mean... your family will begin to suspect and we don't want that".
I said as I didn't want him to feel I wanted to stay with him for any other reason.
"I like you, Nadia".
