Chapter 34: His Evil Ex

Dominique's POV

Well, I reflected, thank the Goddess Griffin didn't want to stay with her again tonight. I would definitely have run away. I would rather have spent the night in that dark forest than watch him hang out with Lucinda. She seemed disappointed to see him go. Good, I thought, annoyed that she had invited him in the first place.

"Thank you again, Griffin," Lucinda said with a devious smile and finger wave as she disappeared into the darkness of what I couldn't help but think of as her lair. And try as I might, I also couldn't help wondering what she was thanking him for. She made it seem like it was an issue of a personal nature. I could only pray that it wasn't TOO personal... for a variety of reasons.

"Ok, let's get out of here," Griffin said with a carefree grin, pulling me to him for a kiss, "We need to get going before dark. AND we need to pick up Samantha on the way back. Not to mention Mia's antibiotic."
